Alison Bartsch is a seasoned professional in the fields of machine learning, computer vision, and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Machine Learning and Computer Vision Research Scientist at Dandy since September 2025, Alison previously held a post as a researcher at the Stanford Autonomous Systems Laboratory from June 2019 to November 2020. Alison also completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University from 2021 to 2025, during which time experience included positions such as Equipment Monitoring Technician at the Stanford Nanofabrication Facility and a role as a research intern at Stanford's Space Environment and Satellite Systems Laboratory. Additionally, Alison contributed to gender research initiatives as a Seeds of Change Mentor at The Clayman Institute for Gender Research from September 2018 to June 2020 and gained research experience at the Mechanical and AI Lab (MAIL) between July 2021 and August 2025.
