Shaan Patel

Shaan Patel is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in platform and product development. Currently serving as the Head of Practice & Platform Engineering at Dandy, Shaan previously held the position of Group Engineering Lead at Brex, where leadership focused on creating diverse platforms such as search and APIs. As the CTO and Founder of Wage, Shaan directed engineering and product efforts to provide employment verification APIs, while at Gusto!, leadership in Benefits Engineering facilitated the offering of various employee benefits. Earlier roles included Software Engineering Manager at Box, where oversight encompassed engineering teams for strategic integrations, and software engineering positions at Piazza Technologies and Cisco Systems, where foundational skills were developed in innovative tech solutions. Shaan holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA.
