Greg Abbott

Greg Abbott possesses extensive experience in public safety and communications, beginning with roles as a Telecommunicator I at METCAD 9-1-1 and progressing to various positions in forensic photography and command management. Abbott served as a Forensic Photographer for both the Champaign County Sheriffs Office and the City of Champaign Fire Department, documenting crime scenes and fire incidents. Later, at the University of Illinois Police, Abbott managed command post operations for significant events. Abbott's career also includes leadership roles in technology and facility management within 9-1-1 systems. Recently, Abbott has worked as a Special Projects Coordinator at Dane County Public Safety Communications and is currently a Project Manager for a new Public Safety Communications Facility.
