Nguyen LaTray, Ph.D., is an expert in gas foil bearing technology and the rotordynamics of high-speed turbomachines. They served as a Research Scientist at The University of Texas at Arlington, where they commissioned test rigs to evaluate gas foil bearing performance for UAV turbocharger applications. As Chief Engineer at BELLKIM ENERGY LLC, Nguyen provided technical direction and led the design of innovative systems, including an oil-free turbo blower. They hold a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. Currently, they are a Lead Rotordynamics and Gas Bearing Specialist at Danfoss.
