Ramanan Kumar

Ramanan Kumar is an experienced engineer specializing in innovation and research within the field of engineering. Currently serving as an Innovation Engineer at Danfoss since April 2022, Ramanan has successfully filed five patents for techno-commercial products, led new product development programs, and developed a motorized valve while designing diagnostic systems. Prior to this role, Ramanan worked as a Senior Research Engineer at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Centre at IIT-Madras from September 2016 to April 2022, where achievements included designing hydrostatic bearings, developing automated design frameworks, and mentoring students. Ramanan started professional experience as a Junior Project Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, focusing on experiments related to polymer coatings for bearings. Ramanan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Automobile Engineering from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, completed in January 2014.
