Danscentrum Syd is a members organisation for freelancing dancers and choreographers in the south of Sweden. Founded in 1991 it currently gathers 90 individual members and 33 self-producing groups or choreographers, active locally, nationally and internationally within the professional dance field.

Daily training is offered at Danscentrum Syd within ballet, contemporary, jazz and additional techniques and workshops are organised in collaboration with Dansalliansen.

Members can book studios with subsidised rent for rehearsals and will receive access to guidance for work and production, additional courses and coaching within producing.

Residencies are offered for members as well as national and international artists in cooperation with a Swedish dance artist.

Our goal is to support and strengthen the artists, to further the conditions and distribution of dance as performing arts and to be a meeting place and a hub for the dance field.
