Robert Seltzer

Vice President at Dante

Mr. Seltzer is responsible for U.S. Defense Sector Solutions at Dante. Bob is a highly experienced senior executive who most recently served as the Director of Military Personnel, Office of the Secretary of Defense from 1990 to 2010. Mr. Seltzer has a broad range of knowledge and experience in the areas of logistics, supply chain management, operations management, and organizational management.

He retired as a Colonel from the United States Army in December 1993. While in the military, Mr. Seltzer served in a variety of headquarters and field assignments including Deputy Director of Management, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs); Chief, Army Officer Evaluation Systems; and Adjutant General, U.S. Central Command. He also served with the Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

Colonel Seltzer is a highly decorated veteran having been awarded numerous honors including the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Meritorious Unit Award, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award.

Mr. Seltzer’s community activities have included acting in an advisory role with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, serving as a member of the Whitetail Management Committee, and serving as Vice President of the Sportsman Reward Fund and a member of the Director’s Advisory Board. Mr. Seltzer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, and Master of Science degrees in both Public Administration and Military Science.
