Austin Salkind, EIT has a diverse work experience. Austin started their career as a Loader at Lowe's Companies, Inc. in 2016. In 2016, they also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Chemistry Mentor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2017, they served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Extreme Molding. Austin then interned as a Process Engineering Intern at W. L. Gore & Associates in 2018. In the same year, they also worked on their Shoulder Arthroplasty Capstone Project at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Most recently, they have been employed at DAPR Engineering, LLC, starting as a Mechanical Engineer I in June 2019 and progressing to the role of Mechanical Engineer II in July 2021.

From 2015 to 2019, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Dual Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering.
Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, they completed their high school education at Old Rochester Regional High School, earning their High School Diploma.
In addition to their academic achievements, Austin Salkind, EIT obtained the certification of Engineer In Training from the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification-State of New Hampshire in April 2021.
