Thomas Young

Thomas Young, MBA PhD has worked in various roles since 2013. In 2013, they co-founded and managed a venture fund at KBN Management LLC, where they oversaw a stock option portfolio and developed new investment strategies. In 2014, they were an adjunct professor of Philosophy & Humanities at Oakton Community College, teaching a core-requirement Business Ethics course and developing a course syllabus. In 2015, they worked as a Software Analyst at Concept and Color, developing responsive web pages and business solutions using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, Node, Python, Django, React, Express, Firebase, SQL, MongoDB, PHP, Heroku, and AWS, as well as constructing data-driven recommendations for executives and stakeholders. In 2018, they worked as an Application Analyst II at Sentinel Technologies, building a contract management system using .NET framework and working within an agile methodology with a team of 10 developers. In 2020, they worked as an Application Analyst II at AllianceChicago. In 2021, they worked as a Full Stack Data Scientist at Dapt. Currently, they are working as an Application Programmer at Clune Construction Company.

Thomas Young, MBA PhD has a varied educational background. Thomas obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance, General from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago. Thomas then went on to receive a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from The European Graduate School in 2013-2014. In 2015-2020, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy, Art & Social Thought from The European Graduate School. In 2020-2021, they obtained a Master of Business Administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology. Thomas is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science from Northwestern University.
