The Dare to Care program equips and mobilizes children and youth with the skills and the courage to protect themselves and others against destructive bullying behaviours. Dare to Care Bully Prevention and Life Skills was founded in 1999 to address the urgent need for comprehensive bullying prevention programming in school communities. By equipping entire communities - students, staff, parents, and administrators - with the tools, empathy, and courage to stand up to bullying and by focusing on prevention and life skills rather than reactive interventions, Dare to Care fosters safer, more inclusive environments where all children and youth can thrive in life, learning, and play.

In 2018, Dare to Care expanded programming to work with amateur sporting communities where maltreatment and abuse have become a major threat to sport participation. In keeping with the efficacy of the school program, Dare to Care works with all members of a sport organization in mobilizing the community to take immediate and effective steps in eliminating harmful behaviours.
