Hugo Veiga

Hugo Veiga is an experienced data science and engineering professional with a strong focus on generative AI and cryptocurrency. Currently serving as the Generative AI Lead at DareData Engineering since February 2024, Hugo is responsible for defining and implementing advanced AI architectures while managing teams for successful project execution. Prior roles include Crypto Scientist at Zharta, where responsibilities included building machine learning models for NFT evaluation and developing data engineering pipelines, and Team Lead/AI Lead Research Scientist at OutSystems, where leadership of AI researchers and product integration of machine learning models were key tasks. With a solid foundation in data science, Hugo's background encompasses positions at CrowdProcess, Hitachi Consulting, KPMG, and CGI, featuring expertise in machine learning, data analysis, and various technical tools such as Python, SQL, and AWS. Hugo holds a Master's degree in Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management and a Bachelor's degree in Information Management from NOVA Information Management School.
