Luis SaCouto currently serves as Principal & AI/ML Scientist at DareData Engineering, where responsibilities include conceptualizing, designing, and implementing production-ready AI/ML/Data science systems across various industries. Previously, Luis held roles as a PhD Researcher and Invited Assistant Lecturer at Instituto Superior Técnico, teaching courses in AI, Machine Learning, and Distributed Systems, while also co-developing a new Machine Learning course syllabus and supervising master theses leading to peer-reviewed papers. Additional experience includes a research internship at INESC-ID focused on Deep Learning models and a summer business analyst position at McKinsey & Company. Luis holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field, all from Instituto Superior Técnico.
