Lora Gilreath

Lora Gilreath currently serves as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Dare County Schools, where responsibilities include classroom management, curriculum development, and student assessment, leveraging technology such as Google Classroom and Canva. Lora was recognized as the Manteo High School 2024-2025 Beginning Teacher of the Year and collaborates with school counselors to support students' extracurricular activities. Prior experience includes a role as a Property Manager at Surf or Sound Realty and as a Community Outreach Manager for the Town of Kill Devil Hills, where responsibilities encompassed organizing public events, managing social media, and developing employee morale initiatives. Lora holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
