Sonia Gallimore

Sonia Gallimore is an experienced professional with a diverse background in social enterprise, community engagement, and governance. Currently serving as the Corporate Secretary and Governance Lead at Darkspark since 2016, Sonia contributes to the foundation's mission of promoting inclusion and combating discrimination through arts and music. As a Certified Life-cycle Celebrant and Marriage Officiant since 2015, Sonia provides bespoke ceremonies that honor significant life events. Previous roles include Founding Member and Volunteer Director at the Social Enterprise Council of Canada, a short-term project as Community Engagement & Business Strategist at The Vancouver Observer, and leadership positions at kidsLINK, where Sonia specialized in health and education services for children and youth. Sonia's educational qualifications include a Certificate in Strategic Non-Profit Management from Harvard Business School, a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from the University of Toronto.
