Cobus Benade

Cobus Benade is a highly experienced professional in cyber security and IT management, currently serving as a Senior Cyber Security Technologist and Team Lead at Darktrace since May 2020. Prior to this role, Cobus held various positions at Check Point Software Technologies as a Beyond the Perimeter Security Expert, where responsibility included bridging customer needs with R&D outcomes, and at Mimecast as a Sales Engineer, focusing on customer messaging solutions. Cobus also has extensive experience from BlackBerry as a Technical Solutions Manager and Carrier Technical Specialist, as well as previous roles in mobile security, SCCM engineering, and IT management. Cobus holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Johannesburg, earned cum laude.
