David Evans

David Evans is a seasoned professional in automation software engineering and cybersecurity, currently serving as a Senior Automation Software Engineer at Darktrace since February 2022. Evans also holds leadership positions within the Automotive Security Research Group (ASRG) since September 2020, directing both the OXF and CBG teams. Previously, Evans worked at Applus+ IDIADA from July 2015 to February 2022, where roles included Connected Vehicle / Cybersecurity Lead and various engineering positions. Additionally, Evans contributed to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) as Chair of the Connectivity Technical Working Group and a committee member on cybersecurity initiatives, as well as serving on the BSI IoT/001 committee. Early career experience includes roles at Pi Innovo from June 2012 to July 2015. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons degree in Applied Computing from Waterford Institute of Technology.
