Joanna Barnes is an accomplished professional in the field of cyber security, currently serving as the Director of Internal Security Operations and UK Head of Threat Analytics at Darktrace since June 2016. In these roles, Joanna is responsible for investigating cyber security threats, training customers on the Darktrace Enterprise Immune System, and acting as a technical interface among various stakeholders. Prior to this, Joanna conducted significant research as a PhD Researcher at the University of St Andrews, focusing on radiation transfer in hydrodynamical astrophysical problems, and also gained experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant. Joanna holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master's Degree in Astrophysics from the University of St Andrews.
