Mitchell Lawson has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. In 2015, they worked as a Radio Summer Intern at Bell, where they designed a national plan to migrate electronic information and coordinated with personnel across Canada. In 2016, they continued their internship at Bell as a Radio Network Design/Support Intern, where they visited radio sites, developed technical diagrams, and ensured compliance with safety practices. In 2017, they returned to Bell for another internship in the same role, focusing on problem-solving techniques and compliance with radio frequency guidelines. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at AirGenuity Inc. as a Controls Specialist and later as a Critical Controls Specialist, where they reduced energy costs, wrote technical proposals, and coordinated multiple projects. In 2021, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University, teaching Object-Oriented Programming and Design using Java and performing various teaching duties. Currently, they are a Machine Learning Co-op at DarkVision Technologies Inc.
Mitchell Lawson completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University between 2014 and 2018. In addition to their formal education, Mitchell Lawson also obtained the certification of Engineering Intern (EIT) from the Professional Engineers Ontario in January 2019.
