Mark Detzer

Mark Detzer, PhD, is a clinical health and pain psychologist currently serving at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital since August 2022. Detzer has maintained a long-term role as a clinical psychologist at Deer Creek Psychological Associates since 2006 and holds an adjunct assistant professor position at Dartmouth College since 2003. Previously, Detzer was a clinical/assistant professor of psychiatry at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth from 1997 to June 2022 and worked as a clinical psychologist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from May 2007 to August 2021. Additional roles include serving on the board of The Haven from 2005 to 2008, directing the STAR Program at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics from 1997 to 2008, and working as a health psychologist for North American CF Confs from 2000 to 2006. Detzer's education includes a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont, a postdoctoral fellowship in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine, and a B.S. in Nutrition Science and Psychology from the University of California, Davis.
