Mac Anthony began their career in 2012 as a Risk & Compliance Officer at Advans Ghana Saving & Loans Company, where they implemented policies and practices that instilled an active compliance culture across 12 branches. Mac Anthony also conducted regular field monitoring that reduced cases of fraud by 70%, and liaised with supervisors to correct data quality issues leading to 90% accuracy in MIS reports. In 2015, they joined Union Savings and Loans as an Operational Control & Compliance Officer, where they introduced reports which reduced non-compliance with third-party agreements and SLAs monitoring by 30%. Mac Anthony also conducted reviews and regular risk workshops and generated reporting that facilitated decision making by 40%, and authored investigation reports outlining findings and recommendations from compliance audits that enhanced HR processes by 40%. In 2016, they joined OmniBank Ghana as a Team Lead, Compliance and Operational Control & Compliance. As a Team Lead, Compliance, they achieved a 60% reduction in compliance breaches through their innovative Compliance Awareness Series across the bank. Mac Anthony also interpreted compliance requirements for staff which significantly enhanced customer service delivery by 50%, and resolved remittance fraud cases leading to reduction in future reported cases by 50%. As a Team Lead, Operational Control & Compliance, they were awarded for championing attitudinal and operational compliance culture as a Junior Manager leading to increase is risk awareness by 70%. Mac Anthony also revamped operational control manual which increased compliance score by 40%, and delivered presentations and training courses to promote best practices for techniques and processes leading to 80% improvement at the frontline. In 2019, they joined Blue Financial Services Ghana Ltd. as a Compliance and Risk Manager, where they revamped Compliance and AML framework that achieved 100% alignment between business processes and regulatory requirements. Mac Anthony also created a monitoring system that resulted in 100% compliance with AML and regulatory reporting, and implemented programmes which improved business teams’ KYC/CDD compliance by 50%. Most recently, in 2023, they joined Dash as the Head of Risk and Compliance.
Mac Anthony Ocloo is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Consulting & Enterprise Risk Management at Kwame Nkrumah'\u200b University of Science and Technology, Kumasi from 2021-2022. Previously, they obtained a Bachelor of Art from the University of Ghana from 2005-2009 and a General Art from Achimota School from 2001-2004. Mac Anthony also holds certifications from ACCPA (2017) and the Ghana Stock Exchange.
