Chen Si

Chen Si is currently a Data & Intelligence at dashdot. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Power Lines Pro, where they were responsible for the design and development of the auto-modelling system and algorithms. They successfully developed several Heuristic and Rule-based Artificial Intelligence algorithms in auto-reconstructing 3D assets of power lines.

Before that, Chen Si was the R&D Director at Humense. They were responsible for building R&D road-maps, solving key technical problems, and technically supervising R&D projects in the field of Deep Learning & Machine Learning, Computer Vision and other relevant to Volumetric Videos. They successfully built Machine Learning pipelines by using MLFlow to develop Deep Leaning models iteratively in the project of the Virtual Reality(VR)/Augment Reality(AR) Football project, where 2D football match videos are converted into a holographic fashion and users can involve in the matches immersively in a VR football stadium.

Chen Si has successfully developed Deep Learning models by using state-of-the-art CNN components such as EncoderDecoder, Residual, Bottle-neck, Atrous Convolution, Group Convolution, Spatial Pyramid Pooling to conduct depth estimation tasks in the projects of the VR/AR Football and the Volumetric Studio. They have also successfully built R&D road maps and data processing pipelines in the projects of the Holographic Chat/Meeting, the VR/AR Football, and the Old Video Recovery. Chen Si has applied their technical leadership in all the R&D projects, including proposing projects, framing R&D direction, solving core technical problems, etc. They have also successfully reported findings, progresses and outputs to non-technical shareholders.

Chen Si has a PhD in Information Technology from the University of Technology Sydney, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Ocean University of China, and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Changzhou University. Chen also has certification from deeplearning.ai in Deep Learning.
