Sonal Sachdev Patel

Sonal Sachdev Patel is an accomplished author and philanthropist, currently serving as an author at Scholastic India since September 2024, co-authoring "Little Wave & Other Stories," a collection aimed at helping children and adults understand death and navigate grief. Patel holds various advisory and board roles, including Advisor at the Foundation for Rebuilding Childhood and Board Member at the Global Fund for Children and at Dasra, where responsibilities include chairing the DEI subcommittee. As CEO of the GMSP Foundation since September 2014, Patel leads initiatives that support marginalized communities in the UK and India. Additional roles include being a Member of the Board of Advisors at Jan Sahas and a Strategic Advisor for Think Equal, both organizations focused on social equity and empowerment. Previously, Patel authored works for HarperCollins Publishers and earned a Master’s Degree in Economics with Management Studies from the University of Cambridge between 1999 and 2002, following high school education at North London Collegiate School.
