R&d Software Engineering Senior Manager

Pradeep Gopalakrishnan is an accomplished R&D Software Engineering Senior Manager at Dassault Systèmes since January 2019, where expertise lies in developing a transonic compressible solver using the Lattice Boltzmann Method. Prior experience includes significant roles at Exa Corporation, serving as Senior Consulting Physicist, Consulting Physicist, Principal Physicist, and Senior Physicist from November 2011 to December 2019, where Pradeep led the development of LBM-based high Mach flow solvers and contributed to the first commercial sub-sonic and transonic solver for real-time applications. A Research Scientist at Virginia Tech from April 2010 to November 2011, Pradeep parallelized a Discrete Element Method solver for coal and biomass gasification, while earlier positions as Project Engineer at CD-adapco and Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions provided foundational experience in fluid simulations and software development, respectively. Pradeep holds a PhD in CFD and heat transfer from Virginia Tech, an MS from the University of Cincinnati, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology.
