Manuel Baumann

Manuel Baumann is a seasoned professional in computational electromagnetics and software engineering, currently serving as the SIMULIA R&D Software Engineering Manager at Dassault Systèmes since April 2022. In addition, Manuel is a lecturer at Technische Universität Darmstadt, specializing in "Introduction to Scientific Computing in C++" for the upcoming winter semesters. Previously, Manuel worked as a Research Scientist at Philips, focusing on Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting and developing a GPU implementation that significantly reduced image reconstruction latency. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute, Manuel contributed to the BMBF Project on optimizing electrical power networks through advanced numerical simulations and algorithms. Manuel completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics at Delft University of Technology, with a dissertation on large-scale matrix computations and inverse problems and has a strong educational background in mathematics and engineering from leading institutions.
