Anika Dandekar

Anika (she/her/hers) is a Senior Analyst at Data for Progress. She supports the polling team, writing surveys and analyzing data. Previously, she did grassroots organizing work for Black Voters Matter and Children Now. She has also been involved in the policy advocacy space, lobbying in Sacramento on behalf of the ACLU. Anika is currently a student at UC San Diego, where she won the Sanford Lakoff Award for writing the “Most Outstanding Honors Thesis in Political Science” of 2021. She will graduate with two degrees: in Economics and Political Science-Public Policy, with highest honors for the latter. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, panicking about the state of American democracy, and hanging out with her friends.
