Cara Harley

Cara Harley has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Cara started their career at H&M as a Sales Assistant, where they worked as part of a team to meet sales targets. Cara then moved on to B/E Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, where they supported production lines and participated in continuous improvement projects. Cara later joined Inditex as a Sales Assistant before returning to B/E Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they worked with design, manufacturing, and support teams to deliver manufacturing solutions for main cabin aircraft seats.

In 2017, Cara joined WRIGHT EN-DRIVE LIMITED as a Stress Engineer, where they focused on the structural analysis of bus chassis and body using FEA software. Cara created FE models, conducted analysis of structural components, and carried out simulation tests for virtual validation. Cara also led engineering design reviews and prepared technical reports documenting structural findings.

From 2014 to 2021, Cara worked at Queen's University Belfast as a PHD Researcher. Cara'sresearch focused on developing an automated framework using Python for accurate boundary condition representation in aircraft wing GFEM. Cara also developed algorithms for data extraction and relational data management using database systems. Additionally, they gained expertise in stiffener buckling, composite failure, and damage modeling.

Most recently, Cara joined Data Intellect in 2019 as a Kdb+ Developer.

Cara Harley completed their education at Queen's University Belfast from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a MEng degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering. Prior to attending Queen's University, they attended Thornhill College from 2001 to 2009, but the information regarding their degree or field of study during that time is not available.

In terms of additional certifications, Cara obtained the Bloomberg Market Concepts certification from Bloomberg LP in December 2019. Cara also obtained the Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals certification from Databricks in March 2023.
