Matt Shearer

Matt Shearer is the current Product Director at Data Language. Matt has held this position since 2016. Prior to that, they were the Head of BBC News Labs from 2012-2016, where they were responsible for the research and development of new journalism formats and technologies. Shearer has also worked as a director for Rankin Dog Productions Ltd and as a drummer for the Marilyn Gentle Band.

Matt Shearer received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University College London and went on to study drums at Oundle School.

Their manager is Paul Wilton, Managing Director. Matt Shearer works with Fabio Colasanti - Head of Data, Julian Everett - CTO, and Silver Oliver - Head of Information Architecture.
