Greg Freeman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Greg is currently the Founder/CEO of Data Literacy Academy, a company focused on addressing data illiteracy in the workforce. Greg also serves as an Angel Investor for Burning Barn Rum and Feast It, both in 2023. Prior to these roles, they were an Investor at The User Syndicate and a Member of the London Chapter at Revenue Collective, both in 2022 and 2018 respectively.
Greg has also held significant positions in companies such as kleene.ai, where they initially worked as the Business Development Director for Mid-Market/Enterprise and later became the VP of Revenue. During their tenure, kleene.ai achieved notable milestones including raising seed funding, reaching $1 million in ARR, and securing a $14 million Series A funding round.
Before joining kleene.ai, Greg was the VP of Sales at OneUp Sales, contributing to the company's growth from 4 to 8 employees. Greg also played a crucial role in establishing partnerships with major SaaS companies. Additionally, they served as the Director of Business Development at CrowdControlHQ, leading the sales strategy and achieving significant revenue and opportunity growth.
In between their professional roles, Greg took time off to travel the world, exploring various continents. Greg'sexperience also includes working at CrowdControlHQ as both an Enterprise Sales Specialist and Senior Enterprise Sales Specialist, where they focused on acquiring new business and highlighting the importance of social media brand reputation.
Greg Freeman obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Marketing Communications from the University of Birmingham from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sport, Physical Education and Coaching Science at the same university from 2009 to 2012. In 2016, Greg completed a course in Negotiating for Profit, and in 2014, they obtained a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Governance Forum. Before their university education, Greg attended Winstanley Sixth Form College in Greater Manchester from 2004 to 2007, where they studied subjects such as English Literature, Business Management, and Media Studies. Additionally, Greg has obtained a certification in Introduction to Data Leadership from the Data Literacy Academy in January 2023.
