The Data Observatory is the UK's first think tank dedicated to data and analytics for social good - focused on health, social care, environment, and education.

We don't hold data. We connect the people and ideas that turn it into action.

What we do:
We convene data professionals, researchers, public sector leaders, policymakers, and innovators through bold conversations, practical insights, and collaborative projects. Together, we challenge the status quo, share what works, and shape data policy that drives real change.

Why we exist:
Data should transform and save lives. Too often it sits unused, misunderstood, or disconnected from the problems that matter most. We exist to change that.

Through our think tank work, @Data4GoodPodcast, and community partnerships, we create the connections, conversations, and capacity needed to turn data into impact.

We are a Community Interest Company with one overarching mission: use data to transform lives across health, social care, environment, and education.
