Elizabeth S.

Elizabeth S. has a diverse range of work experience that spans various industries and roles. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Lecturer at the University of Southern California, where they designed courses, delivered lectures, and provided coaching on writing and critical reasoning. Elizabeth continued their teaching career at Pepperdine University from 2006 to 2007, focusing on English composition and providing individual coaching to students.

In 2007, Elizabeth transitioned to the role of Caption Editor at Captionmax, where they were responsible for editing captions. Elizabeth then joined Sierra Club in 2008 as a Non-Profit Writer/Editor, where they managed a monthly publication, developed editorial themes, delegated assignments, and led editorial board meetings.

From 2011 to 2013, Elizabeth worked as a Social Media Manager at DKZ Productions, overseeing social media platforms. Elizabeth then joined Great Content Solutions in 2014 as a Writer/Editor, where they wrote and edited SEO-optimized copy for various digital platforms.

Elizabeth worked as a Ghostwriter for a confidential client from 2017 to 2019, conducting interviews and creating book-length documents. Elizabeth then joined Guidewire Software in 2022 as a Copy Editor and Proofreader, focusing on proofreading and copyediting PowerPoint presentations for an annual conference.

In the same year, Elizabeth also started working at Data Storage Science as a Proposal Project Manager/Technical Writer, responsible for managing proposal processes and writing, revising, editing, and proofreading proposals for multi-million-dollar contracts.

Lastly, in 2020, Elizabeth worked as an Editorial Assistant at ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers), where they evaluated submissions and edited content for the Journal of Heat Transfer.

Throughout their career, Elizabeth has demonstrated strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in various settings, following style guides and collaborating with subject matter experts.

Elizabeth S. holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English from Wellesley College. Elizabeth later pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Dramatic and Nonfiction Writing from the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2005. Prior to their college education, Elizabeth obtained their High School Diploma from Choate Rosemary Hall. Currently, they are enrolled at Santa Monica Community College, where they are studying Intermediate Spanish since 2019. Additionally, Elizabeth received a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in May 2023.
