Data Systems Engineering Ltd (DSE) is a leading ICT and Digital Health company in Kenya, dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery and strengthening institutions through technology. We have partnered with the MOH, County Governments, NGOs, donor agencies, and private hospitals to design and implement solutions that drive efficiency, accountability, and impact.

Our flagship innovation, AfyaBi, is redefining community health management. By bridging the gap between Community Health Promoters, who collect data and Community Health Assistants and managers who act on it, AfyaBi ensures every visit, mother, child, and patient is visible in the system. With real-time dashboards, geospatial analytics, and performance monitoring, it empowers decision-makers with insights and supports Kenya’s national eCHIS agenda.

But AfyaBi is only part of our impact journey. Other landmark solutions include:
•	Vendor Equipment Management System (VEMS) – Automating and streamlining the use of leased diagnostic and test equipment across public health facilities
•	eCHIS Baseline Assessment – Commissioned by the Ministry of Health, DSE led the first national readiness assessment for Kenya’s Electronic Community Health Information System, evaluating architecture, data quality, governance, and security to guide policy and donor investment
•	KeNUM Mobile App Assessment – Strengthening Kenya’s frontline nurses and midwives by evaluating and enhancing a mobile platform that supports supervision, training, and digital internship management

Broader Capabilities
•	Digital Health Systems
•	Diagnostics & Laboratory Systems
•	Custom Software & ICT Infrastructure
•	Cybersecurity

We work alongside the Ministry of Health, county governments, CHU4UHC partners, donor agencies, and frontline health workers to strengthen systems and improve outcomes.

To date, we have supported 100+ projects across 50+ health institutions nationwide, improving how health data is captured, analyzed, and acted upon.
