Patrick Tam is a seasoned professional with a strong background in mathematics and data science. Currently serving as a Human Frontier Collective Specialist for GenAI at Scale AI since March 2025, Patrick collaborates with the research team to tackle complex, domain-specific challenges aimed at enhancing the reasoning abilities of language models. Concurrently, as a Data Scientist at DataAnnotation since March 2024, Patrick ensures the integrity of AI-generated content and develops optimal code standards. Previously, Patrick worked as a Scientist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center from August 2019 to May 2023, where expertise in CUDA for image processing was applied to automate area calculations. Patrick also gained valuable experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Davis from September 2012 to December 2017.
