Michael Ward

Michael Ward is an accomplished network architecture professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Director of Network Architecture at DataBank since April 2018, Michael leads the development of core network strategy and architecture. Previously, Michael held the position of Director of Network Services at ViaWest, where responsibilities included setting network strategy and communicating with executive management. Earlier in Michael's career, roles included Principal Network Engineer at Dataside, Owner/Consultant at Ward Consulting, and various engineering positions at Masergy Communications, Lucent Technologies, International Network Services, Nortel, and Benson Douglas and Associates. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Western Carolina University.
