Allison Portis

Allison Portis is a Software Engineer at Databricks since August 2021, with prior experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Bloomberg LP in summer 2020, where performance initiatives were enhanced in the order trade entry system for AIM. Allison has academic experience from Cornell University, serving as a Teaching Assistant for CS 3110 and a Course Consultant for CS 1110. Additionally, Allison completed an internship at Feature Labs, Inc., where a project on GitHub was developed. Early career roles include serving as a Sales Associate at Nordstrom and a Research Assistant at the Békesy Neurobiology Lab at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, focusing on juvenile clownfish studies. Allison holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University, obtained in 2021, and a high school diploma from Punahou School.
