Anson Lau

Anson Lau currently serves as Senior Counsel for M&A at Databricks since May 2025 and is an Executive Fellow at the Berkeley Center for Law and Business at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law since 2018. Prior to these roles, Anson Lau was Deputy General Counsel for Strategic Transactions and Commercial at LONGi Solar from July 2023 to May 2025 and worked as Legal Counsel at Sea from December 2021 to February 2023, focusing on M&A, ventures investments, and commercial contracts. Anson Lau held the position of Director and Senior Corporate Counsel at Salesforce from January 2016 to November 2021, overseeing public and private M&A and venture investments. Anson Lau began a career in law as an Associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati from December 2013 to January 2016 and at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from October 2010 to October 2013, gaining experience in M&A and general corporate matters across multiple jurisdictions. Anson Lau earned a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Princeton University.
