Ariel Vargas

Ariel Vargas is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in international operations and team management across various technology companies. Currently serving as Director of International Operations and Managing Director at Databricks since November 2022, Ariel has played a key role in establishing the Costa Rica office and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Previously, Ariel held the position of Managing Director at Palo Alto Networks, where leadership facilitated the office's growth to over 80 employees, and similarly at VMware Costa Rica, where the team expanded from 18 to over 700 members. With earlier roles at HP, IBM, SYKES, and Acer, Ariel has developed a broad skill set in customer experience, operations management, and team leadership. Education includes ongoing studies at Universidad Internacional de las Américas and Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, complemented by training from ICMI.
