Bogdan Kyryliuk

Bogdan Kyryliuk is a highly experienced software engineer with a rich background in data platforms and engineering management. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Databricks since October 2025, Bogdan also holds the position of Apache Superset Committer and PMC member at The Apache Software Foundation since April 2020. With previous roles at Dropbox, including Staff Software Engineer and Area Tech Lead at the Data Platform, Bogdan is noted for architecting and leading significant migrations, such as Dropbox’s transition from Hive to Databricks. Past experience includes engineering management at Opendoor, software engineering at Airbnb and Google, and various research roles at RWTH Aachen University. Bogdan holds a Master’s degree in Software Systems Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the National Technical University of Ukraine.
