Calvin Hung

Calvin Hung currently serves as a Solutions Architect at Databricks since 2025. Prior to this role, Calvin worked as a Principal Data Scientist at both McKinsey & Company and QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey from 2017 to 2025. Earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Data Scientist at Commonwealth Bank and EY, and as a Machine Learning Researcher at the University of Sydney, focusing on deep learning applications in robotics, agriculture, forestry, and environmental monitoring. Calvin's career began as a Space Engineer at Airbus, where altitude and orbital control systems were developed. Calvin holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Robotics, as well as Bachelor's Degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Physics and Mathematics from the University of Sydney, and has additional training in machine learning and aerospace engineering. Research interests include robotics, machine learning, computer vision, and remote sensing.
