Chao Cai is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as Sr. Director of Engineering at Databricks since March 2022, where the focus is on advancing the AI/BI product line to make data and AI accessible to businesses globally. Previously, Chao held the role of Director of Engineering at Google from June 2006 to March 2022, leading teams to develop solutions for advertising needs and overseeing various measurement and attribution initiatives across Google's advertising product suite. Early in the career, Chao gained experience as a Software Design Engineer Intern at Microsoft in 2005. Chao's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, both completed between 2003 and 2006.
