Dave Herrald

Dave Herrald is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as the Global Head of Cybersecurity GTM at Databricks since June 2025, Herrald previously held significant positions at Google, including Global Head of Adoption Engineering and Principal Security Strategist from March 2022 to June 2025. Prior to Google, Herrald worked at Splunk from April 2015 to March 2022 as Principal Security Strategist, Staff Security Strategist, and Senior Security Architect. Additionally, Herrald founded Stack Security, LLC, where the role of Principal Consultant was held from June 2010 to July 2016, and worked as a System Engineer at Fortinet from August 2014 to April 2015. Herrald earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University between January 1990 and January 1994.
