Erik Lindgren

Erik Lindgren is a Senior Software Engineer at Databricks, where they build large-scale retrieval systems for customers. They have a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where their research focused on discrete optimization for machine learning and resulted in multiple publications. Erik's experience includes internships at Lattice Automation, Google, and as a Learning Assistant at Boston University, as well as a Software Engineer role at Google, where they contributed to vector search and embedding model training. They were awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship during their academic journey.
