Fred L.

Fred (zhaolei) L. is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data infrastructure and storage solutions. Currently employed at Databricks since July 2021, Fred specializes in Delta Lake. Prior to this role, Fred worked at Facebook from September 2015 to July 2021, focusing on data transfer infrastructure and previously completing a software engineering internship there in early 2015. Fred’s early career included a software development engineering internship at Amazon in mid-2013, where the focus was on debt and seller performance within the TRMS. Academically, Fred holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Rice University, obtained in January 2015, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution, completed in May 2013, alongside high school education in Chinese Studies at Qingdao No. 2 High School.
