Gaurav Garg

Gaurav Garg is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Databricks since October 2024. Previously, Gaurav held the position of Head of Engineering at CoinTracker from December 2021 to May 2024, where responsibilities included leading engineering for a prominent crypto tax and portfolio tracking platform. Gaurav also served as Vice President of Engineering at Uber from November 2018 to December 2021, overseeing the development of the flagship rider and driver applications, as well as the marketplace for mobility. Prior to Uber, Gaurav was Vice President of Engineering at Google from December 2006 to November 2018, leading efforts in Search Ads Quality. Gaurav's career began with internships at Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Nvidia, Hebrew University, and IBM India Research Labs. Gaurav holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
