Hyukjin Kwon is an accomplished software engineer with a strong background in open-source technologies and software development. Currently serving as an ASF member at The Apache Software Foundation since March 2024, Hyukjin has been involved with Apache Spark as a PMC member and Committer since July 2017. In addition, Hyukjin holds the position of Staff Software Engineer at Databricks since April 2019, where responsibilities include leading the tech efforts for OSS PySpark. Prior experience includes senior and software engineering roles at Hortonworks and Mobigen Co. Ltd., along with an internship at LG Electronics. Hyukjin holds a Master's degree in Information Science from UCL, completed in September 2013.
