Karthik Ramasamy

Karthik Ramasamy is the Head of Streaming at Databricks, bringing over 20 years of experience in technology, engineering, and product management. They co-founded Locomatix, where they played a crucial role in securing funding and overseeing product development, leading to the company's acquisition by Twitter. Karthik also co-founded Streamlio, which was acquired by Splunk, and has held significant positions at Juniper Networks, Twitter, and Splunk. As a part-time faculty member at UC Berkeley, they teach the Introduction to Database Systems course, shaping the next generation of data engineers. Karthik is also an accomplished author and inventor, with ten patents and a best-selling book on network routing.
