Mesut Timur

Mesut Timur is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in product security and application security. Currently serving as a Product Security Engineer at Databricks since November 2022, Mesut previously held roles as a Security Engineer at Facebook from April 2017 to December 2021, and as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on security at Microsoft, where responsibilities included securing Yammer as part of the O365 suite. Earlier experiences include working as a Security Consultant at Cigital, employing penetration testing for mobile applications and .NET clients, and a Security Researcher & Engineer at Netsparker Ltd, where responsibilities included application security research and development of the flagship product, a web application security scanner. Mesut also conducted penetration tests for significant clients at Pro-G Information Security and Research Ltd. and developed a web vulnerability scanner as a trainee at Intellect Pro. Mesut holds a degree in Computer Sciences and Engineering from Gebze Technical University.
