Nuno Castro has extensive experience in data science and machine learning, with a notable career spanning various leadership roles. At Databricks, Nuno serves as the Director of AI FDE, leading a specialized team to assist customers in developing innovative AI applications. Previous positions include Director and Senior Data Scientist at Expedia Group, where responsibilities included overseeing the Hotels.com Search and Sort Data Science teams and leading efforts in recommendations and personalization. Nuno's experience also encompasses roles at Amazon Web Services as an Applied Science Manager and Senior Applied Science Manager, as well as a Data Scientist position at Feedzai focused on real-time credit card fraud detection. Nuno's educational background includes multiple Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Computer Science with a focus on machine learning, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering, all obtained from Universidade do Minho.
