Sam Boatman

Sam Boatman currently serves as Team Lead for Startup Sales at Databricks, focusing on aiding startups in unifying data teams and accelerating growth. Previously, Sam founded Strax Gear, which emphasized sustainability through repurposed materials and achieved recognition as a winner of the Global Sport Venture Challenge funding. Sam's experience includes roles as an Account Executive at Sisense, where notable achievements included Rookie of the Year and listing in the Presidents Club in 2021. Additionally, Sam co-founded Citymixr, which utilized location-based data to enhance customer engagement for businesses and was a semi-finalist at TechCrunch's Disrupt Hackathon in 2019. Earlier career experience includes an account executive role at Yelp. Sam holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Communication from The University of Alabama and completed a New Venture Challenge in Entrepreneurship at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University.
