Sander Lam

Sander Lam is a Senior Solutions Engineer at Databricks since October 2025. Prior to this role, Sander served as Machine Learning Lead at Picnic Technologies from January 2022 to October 2025, overseeing a team focused on end-to-end Machine Learning systems for supply chain forecasting and vision applications. Sander also held various analyst roles at Picnic, contributing to automated fulfillment and distribution systems through the development of dashboards and custom Python solutions. Earlier experience includes working as a Senior Data Scientist and Product Owner at FRISS from January 2017 to December 2021, where responsibilities included creating machine learning pipelines for fraud prediction and developing a reporting solution for data insights. Sander holds a Master of Science in Econometrics & Operations Research and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, along with a VWO degree from Erfgooiers College, Huizen.
