Sohail Rafiqi

Sohail Rafiqi, PhD, currently serves as a Key Account Executive at Databricks since 2024. Rafiqi has held a long-standing role as Lead Faculty in the Master Data Science Program at Southern Methodist University since 2009, focusing on subjects such as Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, and Database courses, along with strategy related to data monetization. Previous experience includes significant roles at Google from 2017 to October 2024, where Rafiqi drove sales of Google Cloud Platform services in the healthcare sector, and at Oracle from 2012 to 2017, focusing on cloud technology sales. Rafiqi's career also features leadership roles at Optimal Path Inc., Netrake/AudioCodes, Asterlight Solutions, and Westwave Communications, complemented by a Doctor of Philosophy degree and a Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
